Rockwell RK7241S Table Saw Review
Maybe you notice that you often need to sacrifice certain specs to get the table saw model you want. For example, if you need something that can get through pressure-treated lumber you need something powerful, but the issue is that it probably won’t be portable.
On the other hand, if portability is your top priority then getting something powerful is going to be quite a challenge.
If this is what you’re thinking then you’ve come to the right page. The Rockwell RK7241S table saw reviewed here employs laser technology to make cutting more accurate and comes with a bunch of other cool features.
Rockwell RK7241S Features
The power that is provided in this saw is a 15-amp motor, a fairly standard power on these type of saws. One difference is this one spins at a no-load speed of 4,800 RPM. Anybody that knows these saws knows that this is good.
This beast can even rip through a 4×4 piece of lumber. This table saw has a deep cutting depth at 3-9/16 inches at a right angle, and 2-9/16 inches at a 45-degree angle. It also supports dado blade sets, which are roughly 6 inches in diameter.
Hardwood and pressure-treated lumber can be cut with the Rockwell RK7241s. Softer materials like plywood are also ripped very easily. The outfeed support works very well and catches wood without the need for rollers, saw horses, or additional tables.
The rip capacity is a huge 30 inches when the fold out fence is fully extended. This makes the cutting capacity up to 4 times greater than other similar models.
Laser Guide Technology
Thanks to Rockwell’s very own LaserGuide technology the saw offers a high level of accuracy. The way it works is simple. The true cut line indicator helps to make cuts have a high level of accuracy. The line of the laser automatically adjusts to the arrangement of the blades and that can help a ton with bevel cuts.
Convenient To Transport
Most table saws have transport wheels located on the legs, whereas this one actually has built-in wheels located on the left of the unit. The leg even doubles as a handle, allowing you to push or pull the saw around without difficulty. It is not super light, but at 88lbs it is far from heavy.
Another feature that I like is the dust collection bag located underneath the table. It won’t keep your work surface absolutely clean, but it beats putting a box under the table.
Strong and Durable
The build quality of this table saw is solid, making it one of those trusty tools that lasts a long time. The materials used in the construction are high quality and reputable.
The Rockwell RK7241s table saw has a bunch of things that set it apart from similar products. It also has a dust collection bag which is great for keeping your workspace clean and safe.
