DeWalt DWE7491RS Table Saw Review: 10 inches & Rolling Stand
Dewalt is known worldwide for high quality power tools. I have some of their other tools as well, besides their table saws.
The DWE7491RS is a popular saw but does it live up to the hype? Let’s break down the features of this table saw and if it’s worth it for you…
Dewalt DWE 7491RS Features
The 26 x 22-inch size makes it good for a lot of jobs. The motor is 15 amps which is enough to slice through softer woods quite easily. The motor uses quality parts as well in its design. For cutting at a 90-degree angle this table saw can make cuts at 3-1/8 inches. It can make cuts at 2-1/4 inches if you are at a 45-degree angle.
Do you move from job site to job site? If so then the rolling stand will come in very handy for you. You can easily roll around this saw as it only weighs 110 pounds. This means it can be lifted up and thrown into your vehicle after the job is done.
This unit has a 32- 1/2 inch rip capacity making it great for large boards! This saw even has a rail extension which will stop the boards from tipping over the saw or breaking which would be terrible.
Another common problem that everybody hates when doing some woodworking is the dust. The DWE 7491RS has a 2- 1/2 inch dust port at the back and another 1- 1/2 inch port on top of the blade which will help out the old lungs big time!
One feature that cant be ignored is the quality rack and pinion fence. In case you didn’t know it’s actually dangerous to have a poor quality pinion fence. This saw has one of the sturdiest one on the market so you don’t need to worry about that. It can be locked and unlocked with just one hand to make adjustments easily on the job.
The Dewalt has a cool power loss reset feature. The saw will shut off automatically in the event of a power loss and not turn on until a button is pushed. This is great for those times when that guy at the job site kicks out the extension cord. There’s even a cover for the button, which is a great addition if kids will be anywhere close by.
- Large rip capacity
- Highly portable
- Great auto shutoff safety feature
- Quality dust port
- Not many unless price is a concern
The bottom line is that Dewalt makes quality tools and this table saw is no different. It’s built to last a long time and has everything to get the job done for a lot of handymen. I would highly recommend it. Read more table saw reviews on the homepage if you aren’t convinced.
